Trimming the house ready for Christmas
This is something I had to do myself when the kids were really little. Now they are at an age where they can trim the tree to a reasonable height, it is a fun tradition in our house. This year especially, the kids have made lots of decorations at school and I can't wait to put them up! I thought, to carry on the theme of making the decorations, I would try to make a wreath for the front door.
Firstly I started out with a foam ring to support and adhere the flowers to. I used (a lot!) of the STACKER FLOWERS #2. Stacking and curling the ends as I went.
Filling in thru the flowers I added some silver ribbon and baubles and two silver leaves to the side. I have used paper from the Kaiser Madam Boutique 6x6 paper pad.
I also used the OLIVE BRANCHES die as sprigs on the outside of the wreath which, I think, gives it a softer look.
I do hope you have fun trimming your house for the holidays with projects you and your family have made.
